It is almost the weekend and I don't know about where you are but where I am, it is suppose to rain. It is spring so rain is part of the season but I am anxious to be able to go outdoors and plant. Until then though, I thought I'd share a recommendation for a really great video. The perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon or evening.
This video I hear about at Christmas time and purchased it for my husband. I have watched it probably 5 times since Christmas and whenever anyone comes over for movies we watch it because most people haven't seen it and it is a good movie - everyone has liked it so far.
Here is my cliff notes without giving away too much. The premise is the relationship between a family, particularly a father and son. It is based around the sport of high school rugby in the U.S. The teenage boy, who is the main character deals with high school pressures, deals with its consequences and along the way learns a lot about himself through the sport of Rugby. The really cool part of this movie is it is based on a true story of a rugby coach. His coaching principles are fantastic and the stats at the end of the movie on wins he had while coaching is amazing. If you are a coach of any sport, this would be a movie for you. It is inspiring and motivating. It makes you chuckle, cry and feel good. Men, women and kids would like it. I think it would be especially good possibly for youth groups.
I hope you enjoy the movie and recommend it to your friends.
I purchased the movie from www.amazon.com or possibly your local video store or Netflix.
